So, here's these two portraits I worked on for about 20 hours a piece, for Patrick Hammie's Figure II class. Both are 42in x 60in on paper. The first is simple charcoal, with a dash of cola (which I didn't like all too much). The second is grounded with acrylic, then gesso and charcoal.
So, both of these were hug leaps forward for me personally. As a result, I've been thinking about working as a professional artist in the real world. I'll probably still go on with trying to catch my dream of becoming a comic book illustrator. But, I never really considered becoming just a professional artist until these portraits were finished. So, let the confusion ensue.
